 Proposal – a formal written plan used for others to asses the validity of the project, done after pre production research has been carried out. Usually presented as a work document or a power point. Things that go into the proposal are the target audience, outline if resources, outline of potential costs, and timescale + schedule. It comes before a pitch 

Pitch – a proposal is presented to the client in a meeting, the gal is to sell the idea and the project if the project s greenlit then it will move forward into the development stage of production. It’s a presentation of the general ideas of the project

High concept documents – this is a one page document summarising the project 

Treatment document -  a document that presents the story idea of your film before writing the entire script. Treatments are often written in present tense, in a narrative-like prose, and highlight the most important information about your film, including title, logline, story summary, and character descriptions.
